MIchael Pilkington is the owner and founder of King's Lawn and Landscaping. Mike grew up with his family on their own farm. He has known about growing, seeding, weed control, and so many of the key ideas that make for a quality landscape job from his childhood forward. For example, when Mike was in high school, he entered and won 1st place in the future farmers award for the best county crop. Mike decided to attend college here in Chattanooga in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education, which he graduated with from Tennessee Temple University. Mike also earned an associates degree in Computer Science. While in college, Mike did yard maintenance to work his way through school, through which he was able to pay for 100% of his schooling. Upon graduating, Mike pursued employment in the career field of his degree, while still doing yard work on the side as something that he enjoyed. He found himself to be dissatisfied with the lack of advancement and training opportunites that his employers presented. Upon the suggestion of a friend, Mike started his own business. The name King's Lawn and Landscaping came from the idea that Mike desired to provide the kind of royal service that would be fit for a king, as well as the fact that that 'king' conveniently is part of his last name. Mike has been operating King's Lawn and Landscaping now for over 15 years. He seeks to provide quality, reliable, and honest work for his customers. Mike lives here in Chattanooga, and he is a member and regularly attends Woodland Park Baptist Church.
